- Wendy Marie Shol of Fergus Falls formerly Wendy Schnobrich of New Ulm, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at New Ulm Medical Center surrounded by her family, after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 5, 1953, in New Ulm, the daughter of Sedonia (Teicher) Schnobrich and the late Eldor George Schnobrich, Sr.
She attended New Ulm Public High School, graduating in 1971. She graduated from Fergus Falls Community College as an LPN in 1974.
Wendy was employed most recently at Sleepy Eye Care Center and for many years caring for the elderly. She also worked at Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls for more than 10 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her sons and family, nature walks, dancing and listening to old time polka music, and baking for her family and charities.
Wendy was a very caring and giving person that enriched the lives of the people she knew and touched. She will be dearly missed.
Preceding her in death were an infant son, Timothy Wayne; her father, Eldor; a brother, Lauren; her father-in-law, Cliff Shol; her mother-in-law, Vollie Shol; and a brother-in-law, David Babb.
Survivors include her three sons, Ryan of Fergus Falls, Craig of Fargo, and Derek of Underwood; her husband, Wayne of Underwood; her mother, Sedonia Schnobrich of New Ulm; two brothers, Eldor George Schnobrich, Jr. of New Ulm, and Gayln (Cindy) Schnobrich of Lafayette; five sisters, Patricia Babb of Omaha, Neb., Marilyn (Tom) Engfer of Pequot Lakes, Mary Riebel of White Bear Lake, Faye (Mike) Connery of Verona, Wis., and Carol (Mike) Moldan of Sleepy Eye; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home chapel, Fergus Falls
