- OAK RIDGE - Lillian J. Johnson, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., June 13, 1927, she moved to Oak Ridge, where she resided for the past 52 years.
Lillian worked in the Jefferson Township school system for more than 30 years and was best known for her baking by students and staff alike.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Johnson and her parents, Hilmar and Hilma Helwig.
She is survived by her daughter, Dale Anderson and her husband, Don; her daughter, Janet Johnson; her granddaughter, Heather Burghardt and husband, Barry, their three children, Wyatt, Ashley and Lacey; her grandson, Daniel Galfo and his wife, Janell; and her grandson, Eric Albrecht.
A memorial service to celebrate Lillian's life will be held at Milton United Methodist Church, Oak Ridge, on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Foundation, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
